Fall Shopping, Dining, and Fun in Charles Town
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is head downtown, grab something to eat, and admire the changing leaves. If you’re looking for downtown leisure, you’re in luck, as Charles Town is home to a variety of coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, and shops.
For vegan empanadas, sandwiches, sooshi, and more, check out the plant-based, Puertorican fusion restaurant, Cocina Plantosaurus.

Coffee aficionados should visit Sibling Coffee Roasters downtown or drive up Charles Town Road to Joan + Joe Coffee for lattes, gourmet sandwiches, and baked goods.
If you’re craving something sweet, head down to Kylie’s Confections for all sorts of treats. This bakery also offers savory food options, like pepperoni rolls, chicken salad, and sandwiches.

Planning a date night? Grab an artisan pizza and flavored beer at Abolitionist Ale Works, or head down to Paddy’s Irish Pub for some traditional Irish fare and drinks. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, check out Sumittra Thai Cuisine for traditional Thai food and boba tea.
For a unique shopping experience, check out Needful Things Emporium to peruse items from a variety of vendors. Or stop into Fuzzy Dog Books & Music, located in the historic Tate House, to browse their collection of books and records.
